• Advanced Primary Extraction – The Orion bolt action design uses helical primary extraction technology, guaranteeing smooth operation even in adverse conditions.
• Barrel Extension Technology – In line with modern military rifles, the Orion barrel uses a heat-treated barrel extension for enhanced durability.
• High Tech Materials – The Orion uses modern high-tech materials in the aluminium receiver and mini-chassis, to the barrel and carbon stock. The result is a lightweight accurate and durable rifle.
• Mini-Chassis Bedding – The Orion has matched mating surfaces between the bottom receiver and the metal mini-chassis, ensuring a strong, near-perfect bedding system for repeatable accuracy.

High Performance

• Helical primary extraction technology ensures that extraction forces are continuous across the bolt lift.
• The distribution of primary extraction force ensures smoother and more even bolt lift force, as well as reducing pressure on the extractor.
• Use of AICS compatible magazines in Double Stack Single Feed (DSSF) format, is a deliberate design choice to ensure the greatest overlap between the bolt face and the cartridge base, prioritising feeding reliability.
• Carbon fibre was chosen for its lightweight, high strength and stability across varying environmental conditions.
• Carbon fibre stock is bonded to a Bottom Metal Mini Chassis (BMMC). Together, they assure repeatable accuracy and retention of zero.
• Cold hammer forged and heat treated barrel provides a prolonged barrel life.
